You made it this far into your cyber journey to see if Element Chiropractic is right for you and now you are here to see who the doctor is, to see if I am someone you actually want to speak with and who you can feel confident about getting adjusted by. I love being a chiropractor, but I hate writing bios. Here’s a quick list of a few things about me because we all have better things to do than reading bios:
The biggest difference when you come to see me is that I take the time to determine what your needs may be and create a customized treatment plan with you in mind. The CrossFitter with low back pain may have a different frequency of adjustments and more focused rehab exercises than the long-distance truck driver with the same type of low back pain. Of course, my goal is to get you out of pain as quickly as possible regardless of these differences and I work with you to get there.
I started seeing the local chiropractor when I was about 8 years old. My mom thought that I might have scoliosis and she was concerned, but it turned out that I just had awful posture. The chiropractor adjusted me on a schedule and I was given home exercises to do (which I did not like doing as a kid). My posture improved over time and I also found that my regular headaches were improved with chiropractic care.
By the time I was almost done getting my Biology degree, I had to make the decision to either become a medical doctor or a chiropractor. In the end, I realized that chiropractic was a better fit since it focused on the cause of the problem rather than a focus on symptom care. Being a chiropractor has been awesome and I love helping my patients!
I like to shred the mountains with my husband, goof off with my kids, play with the pup, read a fiction book, hike the trails, explore new places with road trips and camping, get sweaty at CrossFit and occasionally reward myself with a local beer from one of our lovely breweries.
