Hybrid Approach
Traditional chiropractic uses the hands to adjust the body, but there are other ways to achieve the same goal. Some patients may only receive hands-on adjustments (the popping and cracking type), others may benefit from only instrument adjusting and some may get a mix & match, but the goal is the same for all methods.
The focus of chiropractic is the spine, but we know that the knee bone is connected to the hip bone and the hip bone is connected to the back bone. This wonderful system of bones, joints and muscles works together to keep us moving.
No two people are the same and no two problems are the exact same. A variety of factors may determine how well you recover or improve and your treatment plan also needs to be unique to you. A 17 year old soccer player with sudden neck pain may need different care and timelines than a 90 year old with chronic neck pain and previous neck surgery.
One-on-One Exercises
Depending on your needs and skill level, your doctor will develop a unique plan to get you moving better. Your care will be supervised by your chiropractor to make sure that you are properly performing the movements.
Home Exercise Routines
Since you are with your body more than we ever will be with it, you will be given home exercises that you can do with no or minimal equipment. Your home exercises will be tailored to your needs and with repetition normal activities will become easier.
We love working with other providers who are trying to get you better. While we can get you started with an active care program, sometimes you might need a specific plan or structure that physical therapists can give.
